At Smith and Walker EyeQ Optometrists, we are proudly known for the level of thorough, personalised care we provide for each of our patients. Our optometrists have specialisations in children’s vision, including Behavioural Optometry and Vision Therapy, as well as embracing all the latest developments and opportunities in contact lenses and myopia management with orthokeratology. For our older patients we provide in-depth assessment for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration and help manage these ocular conditions. Both Sallyanne and Shirley are therapeutically qualified which means they can treat many eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, iritis and severe dry eye.
Our friendly team of Optical Dispensers and Assistants are committed to finding you the best solutions for all your optical needs.
We use the latest equipment to enhance all aspects of optometric care including Ocular Coherence Tomography and Digital Retinal Imaging, Corneal Topography, Automated Visual Fields and Pachymetry.
Sallyanne has practiced optometry in regional NSW and enjoyed clinical teaching at the University of NSW prior to joining our practice in 2002. She has a special interest in children’s vision and has completed post-graduate studies in Behavioural Optometry and Ocular Therapeutics. Sallyanne has lived locally for 25 years and is married and has 2 daughters. When she is not working Sallyanne loves reading, cooking and keeping fit.
Shirley has worked in Camberwell for over 20 years and has enjoyed the relationships that have developed with her patients and their families over that time. Shirley has completed post graduate studies in Advanced Clinical optometry and Ocular Therapeutics. She enjoys all aspects of optometry but has a keen interest in myopia control and contact lenses. She lives nearby with her husband and 2 daughters. In her spare time she loves music, reading and hiking.
Additional to comprehensive eye health examinations, we offer orthokeratology, myopia management, specialty contact lens fitting, behavioural children’s vision assessments and vision therapy. Plus digital retinal imaging with Ocular Coherence Tomography and Optus Ultra-wide Imaging.
We are an accredited Colour Blind Sight Centre offering tinted contact lenses and iRo tinted spectacle lenses. These lenses offer people with red-green colour vision deficiencies an improvement in colour discrimination.
We accept all health funds and offer Afterpay to help spread the cost of your new eyewear.
At Smith and Walker EyeQ Optometrists we strive to provide you with personalised professional care in a friendly and caring environment. We are constantly updating our clinical expertise to ensure you receive the highest level of care and provide extensive consultations to thoroughly assess vision, evaluate the individual requirements of each patient, and assess for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract and a host of other eye diseases.
We are always seeking the latest in quality fashion eyewear and lens technology to offer our patients. Our highly qualified and experienced optometrists and optical dispensers are committed to providing expert advice to our patients. We have a unique selection of quality frames to suit all budgets, including Ferragamo, Face a Face, Woow, Longchamp, Silhouette, Prodesign and Koali. Our contact lens provider Alcon is experiencing delays fulfilling orders due to a cyber-security incident involving their freight partner, Toll Group. These delays are across their entire network of optical retailers in Australia. We apologise for an inconvenience caused and encourage you to contact your local EyeQ practice for any urgent requirements.
