EyeQ Optometrists is continuing its expansion through the recent acquisition of six practices, five of which are located in Melbourne and operate as ‘The Spectacle Site’. These practices along with Specialeyes in Canberra are the first group of practices to be brought into the EyeQ corporate model that will retain their business name and not be required to carry EyeQ branding. Ms Lily Wegrzynowski, General Manager of Optometry and People explains, “These practices will receive the same support across all business functions with resources provided by EyeQ.”
The unbranded EyeQ model allows practice owners, particularly those looking at succession planning, to have a say in their future involvement within the business and to what extent. It’s a great way to transition into retirement or give owner optometrists time to focus on building the practice and patient care.
