Your guide to
contact lenses

At EyeQ, our optometrists are qualified to fit you with the most appropriate contact lens for your prescription and lifestyle. Many spectacle wearers spend years unaware that they are suitable for contact lenses. Our experienced eye care team can help you find the right contact lens to suit your specific needs.

Contact lenses are available for patients who require clear distance vision and clear reading vision, as well as for patients with astigmatism. Our extensive range includes daily, fortnightly and monthly prescription contact lenses as well as lenses for specific eye conditions.

We only supply from world-leading contact lens manufacturers.

Need a Prescription?

Need a new contact lens prescription? Considering transitioning from spectacles to contact lenses? Book a convenient online appointment or call to make an appointment with one of our qualified optometrists.

Here’s what you can expect at your appointment:

Our optometrist  will assess the health of your eyes, explaining the various types of prescription contact lenses available to you. Lifestyle factors and your specific visual needs will influence the type of contact lens recommended for you.

A trial lens placed on your eye will help the optometrist  make sure that the lens is fitting correctly. They will also show you how to insert, remove and look after your lenses.

Once your prescription has been written by our optometrist , an order is placed and your new contact lenses will be ready within typically 7 days.

Need Replacement Lenses?

Disposable soft contact lenses are the most commonly prescribed contact lenses and come with a recommended replacement schedule. Adhering to these recommendations and inserting new lenses at the recommended time is important to maintaining good eye health.

What Happens Next?

Prescription contact lens wearers require regular eye examinations. Because they sit directly on the eye, contact lenses can increase the risk of complication and infection. Regular eye examinations allow any problems to be detected and corrected early, before they have time to cause permanent damage.

Once you have settled in to wearing your contact lenses you will need to revisit your optometrist every 12 months to check if any changes have occurred to your vision which may require a change in script.

Our Contact Lens Price Promise

We understand how important it is to keep costs down, so we work hard to provide quality contact lenses at prices our patients love.

ALCON CONTACT LENSES

Our contact lens provider Alcon is experiencing delays fulfilling orders due to a cyber-security incident involving their freight partner, Toll Group. These delays are across their entire network of optical retailers in Australia. We apologise for an inconvenience caused and encourage you to contact your local EyeQ practice for any urgent requirements.
