Fortescue & Koszek Optometrists have been providing the St George and Sutherland Shire region with quality eyecare since it was established in 1980. Our optometrists, Ray Fortescue, Mark Koszek, Hannah Maher and Amy Fortescue and our staff of very experienced optical dispensers and assistants are there to ensure you have all your vision requirements satisfied…in fact we expect that your visit will be memorable, for all the right reasons.
Established Ray Fortescue Optometrists in 1980. He has special interests in contact lenses, orthokeratology and behavioural optometry. Ray is now actively involved in the management of the EyeQ Optometrists national network. A keen golfer, he wishes he could get more time on the course!
Having completed his Master of Optometry in 2002 and his Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2012, Mark is a renowned lecturer on contact lenses and dry eye. He is a current member of the NSW Cornea and Contact Lens Board, a guest lecturer for the UNSW Masters program and regularly presents at international events.
Outside of work, Mark is a keen golfer and a passionate Cronulla Sharks supporter.
Special interests in paediatric optometry, ocular health and orthokeratology. As Ray’s daughter, Amy has grown up in our practice. She loves optometry and the Ramsgate community feels like a family to her. Amy enjoys working with local allied health professionals and GPs, particularly those with interest in paediatrics.
Having Graduated from QUT in 2016 with first class Honours, Hannah pursued her interest in Paediatric Optometry completing an Advanced Certificate in Children’s Vision at the Australian College of Optometry. Hannah is passionate about building relationships with patients to provide quality eye care for life. Outside of work she enjoys Pilates and cooking.
